REILY MILLVILLE ROAD BRIDGE OPENS
Reily Township

The Reily Millville Road bridge over Indian Creek is open effective this Friday morning, December 3, 2010, on time and on budget, according to Butler County Engineer Greg Wilkens. The bridge had been closed for replacement since August 9.

Officials from the Engineer's Office, Reily Township, and the contractor, DDK Construction, gathered for a brief ribbon cutting to dedicate the new bridge and reopen Reily Millville Road which serves as a significant link into the heart of Reily Township and the community of Reily.

The previous bridge at this location was a three-span rolled steel beam structure built in 1969. The Engineer's Office has replaced it with a 110-foot pre-stressed concrete box beam bridge. Funding for the $693,070 project consisted of Federal LPA funds and local Butler County money.
