Butler County Engineer
Greg Wilkens reports that work is under way to restore a section
of stream bank along Seven Mile Creek in St. Clair Township.
The stream is eroding and in danger of undercutting Hamilton
Eaton Road near New Miami High School if something isn't done,
according to Wilkens.
"There is no present
danger to motorists," he emphasized, "but it is imperative

the stream's east bank at this location. Approximately 400 feet
of the embankment will be rebuilt and fortified to prevent any

on the project in late June with most of the construction up
to this point taking place in the stream bed and along the bank.
As work moves closer to the roadway, it will be necessary to

completion by mid-August 2012, weather permitting.
A construction contract
for the project was awarded to W.G. Stang, LLC of Hamilton which
submitted a low bid of $286,803. Funding will consist of 100
