Butler County Engineer
Greg Wilkens reports that work on the Liberty Fairfield Road
improvement begun last fall is slated to resume April 1. The
project, located between Logsdon's Woods Drive and Princeton
Road, involves widening the existing lanes from ten to twelve
feet, adding two-foot paved shoulders plus an additional two-foot
earth berm, and reconstructing driveways and drainage to accommodate
the pavement widening. Additionally, a small bridge has already
been replaced as part of the project.
Construction had to
be suspended in December with the onset of winter. The remainder
of the work is expected to be completed by early May, weather
