KYLES STATION ROAD IMPROVEMENT TO START NEXT WEEK
Road Closing July 6
Liberty Township

Butler County Engineer Greg Wilkens reports that Kyles Station Road will close between Old Kyles Station Road and Ohio 747 for a roadway improvement beginning July 6. This project will widen the existing lanes to twelve feet, add four-foot paved shoulders, and improve storm drainage. Total project length is approximately 1,250 feet and is designed to match existing pavement at each end of the project limits.

A construction contract has been awarded to Rack & Ballauer Excavating Company, Inc. located in the Ross / Crosby Township area which submitted a low bid of $204,677. Funding for the project will consist of 100 percent BCEO money.

All work is scheduled for completion by late August, weather permitting.

Road Closing and Maintenance of Traffic

Kyles Station Road will close between Old Kyles Station Road and Ohio 747 for the roadway improvement beginning Monday, July 6, 2015. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen the week of August 24, 2015.

During this closure, detours will be posted for all thru traffic; however, local access will be maintained for residents of Kyles Station Road within the construction zone as well as for emergency services. Residents of the Meadows of Aspen Trails subdivision will not be permitted access to their subdivision via Oak Creek Trail off of Kyles Station. Access to Meadows of Aspen Trails will be restricted to Glen Springs Drive off of Ohio 747 while Kyles Station Road is closed.

Detour: Eastbound Kyles Station Road traffic will detour northeast on Ohio 4 and south on Ohio 747 to Kyles Station. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.

Motorists are encouraged to check the Road Closings page here on the BCEO web site as the best source for possible date and status changes concerning this closure.
