Cincinnati Dayton Road Improvements, Phase 1 and Phase 2

The Butler County Engineer's Office will hold a public involvement workshop to provide information and solicit public input concerning proposed Cincinnati Dayton Road improvements through Olde West Chester.

Name of Project: Cincinnati Dayton Road Improvements, Phase1 and Phase 2 -- West Chester Township, Butler County, Ohio.

Project Description: Widen Cincinnati Dayton Road from two to four lanes from West Chester Road north to the I-75 northbound on-ramp. The resulting roadway will be two northbound lanes, a center turn lane for safety and one southbound lane for the majority of the project. Station Road will be realigned slightly to the south of the existing alignment to improve geometrics at the Cincinnati Dayton Road intersection. In addition, the project includes a new bridge over the East Fork Mill Creek, as well as the addition of curbs, sidewalks, and a shared use path. The proposed project includes two project phases, each programmed for construction in 2018. There is a need to widen Cincinnati Dayton Road in the project area to accommodate existing and projected traffic, reduce roadway congestion, and improve motorist safety. The proposed project supports West Chester Township's community and economic development goals by improving traffic mobility and safety to areas of ongoing development.

Public Meeting Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2015.

Time: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Location: West Chester Township Administration Building, 9113 Cincinnati Dayton Road, West Chester Township, Butler County, Ohio.

Directions: Corner of Cincinnati Dayton Road and West Chester Road. Park in main lot and enter through the front doors.

Meeting Format: Casual, open house style with information stations and displays about the project. Interested citizens may drop in at their convenience. Maps, photos, and other material, including copies of the draft environmental studies, will also be available for citizens to use in working discussions with project study team representatives from the Butler County Engineer's Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation. There will also be representation from the project consulting engineers and adjoining townships. These representatives will be available to answer questions and hear your ideas. Each information station will be staffed and specific comment forms will be provided.

Purpose: Provide the public with the opportunity to review the preliminary engineering and environmental information for the proposed Cincinnati Dayton Road improvements and to solicit feedback.

Hosting Agency: Butler County Engineer's Office.
