Butler County Engineer
Greg Wilkens reports that a bridge on Browns Run Road will be
replaced beginning May
1. Located in northern
Madison Township, the existing bridge, which spans Browns Run,
is a steel beam bridge with metal deck built in 1978. The Engineer's
Office plans to replace the old bridge with a new, safer pre-stressed
concrete box beam structure.
A construction contract
for the project has been awarded to Brumbaugh Construction, Inc.
of Arcanum, Ohio which submitted a low bid of $364,675. Funding
consists of 100 percent local BCEO funds.
All work is scheduled
for completion by mid-June, weather permitting.
