Butler County Engineer
Greg Wilkens reports that the Myers Road bridge over Browns Run
in Madison Township will be replaced beginning March 19. The
existing bridge is a steel pony truss built in 1962. The Engineer's
Office plans to replace the old bridge with a new, safer pre-stressed
concrete box beam structure.
A construction contract
for the project has been awarded to R.B. Jergens Construction,
Inc. of Vandalia, Ohio which submitted a low bid of $758,813.
Funding consists of 100 percent federal grant money.
All work is scheduled
for completion by early June, weather permitting.
