Name of Project:
Points Roundabout, PID 106129 -- City of Hamilton / Fairfield
Township border, Butler County, Ohio.
Project Description: Proposed improvements include
converting the five-road intersection to a roundabout intersection
with curb and gutter, proper storm drainage, safer roadway geometrics,
and improved pedestrian facilities. The project is tentatively
scheduled for construction in 2021. Environmental issues related
to Regulated Materials, Cultural Resources, and potential impacts
to Environmental Justice communities are being investigated as
part of the environmental studies.
Public Meeting Date: Wednesday, September 19, 2018.
Time: 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Location: Crawford Woods Elementary
School, 2200 Hensley Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, 45011.
Directions: Hancock Avenue northwest from
the Five Points intersection to left (west) on Hensley Avenue.
Park in main lot and enter through the front doors.
Meeting Format: Casual, open house style with
information stations and displays about the project. Interested
citizens may drop in at their convenience. Maps, photos, and
other material, including copies of the draft environmental studies,
will also be available for citizens to use in working discussions
with project study team representatives from the Butler County
Engineer's Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
There will also be representation from the project consulting
engineers and the City of Hamilton. These representatives will
be available to answer questions and hear your ideas. Each information
station will be staffed and comment sheets will be provided.
Meeting materials will be available in English and Spanish.
Purpose: Provide the public with the
opportunity to review the preliminary engineering and environmental
information for the proposed Five Points intersection improvement
and to solicit feedback.
