Butler County Engineer
Greg Wilkens reports that the Lanes Mill Road bridge over Four
Mile Creek in Milford Township will be replaced beginning February
18. The existing bridge is a three-span concrete box beam structure
built in 1916. The Engineer's Office plans to replace it with
a new, safer single-span pre-stressed concrete i-beam bridge.
A construction contract
for the project has been awarded to the John R. Jergensen Company
of Cincinnati which submitted a low bid of $2,114,000. Funding
consists of federal grant money and local BCEO matching funds.
All work is scheduled
for completion by early August, weather permitting.
