GILMORE ROAD WIDENING PROJECT BEGINS

The Butler County Engineer's Office reports that construction to widen Gilmore Road in Fairfield Township will begin Monday, August 24, 2020. The $1.4 million project performed by W.G. Stang, LLC, will expand the road to three lanes with the addition of a center two-way left-turn lane, curb and sidewalks, storm sewer, and a new access road. Construction will last approximately 11 weeks and requires a full road closure from approximately 0.25 miles north of Hamilton Mason Road to the S.R. 129 overpass.

DETOUR: Northbound Gilmore Road traffic will detour east on Hamilton Mason Road, north on S.R. 4 Bypass, and west on Princeton Road. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Gilmore Road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen November 7, 2020.
