How detours are determined.
Local and emergency access to homes and businesses is
maintained at all times.
Emergency personnel, local government agencies, school
districts and post offices are notified of all closures. Media
are also notified; however, we cannot guarantee that the information
will be published or aired.

West Chester Township
/ Traffic Advisory:
Construction under way effective June 14, 2018 to widen Cincinnati
Dayton Road between West Chester Road and I-75. The project will
be built in two overlapping phases with completion scheduled
for fall 2019:
- Phase 1 - Start: June 14, 2018. Construction
from West Chester Road to Station Road including Station Road
realignment and bridge replacement. Suspend for the winter: late
- Phases 1 &
2 - Start:
approximately March 1, 2019. Resume Phase 1 and begin Phase 2
from Station Road to just south of the I-75 interchange. Complete:
Traffic will be maintained
along Cincinnati Dayton Road and all side streets throughout
most of the project's duration, although motorists may encounter
occasional delays. Access will be maintained to all businesses
and residents; however, commuting motorists are strongly advised
to utilize alternate routes in an effort to ease congestion in
the work zone.
has been suspended for the winter effective November 26, 2018.
Utility work will continue through the winter months however,
so motorists and local residents and businesses will see utility
crews present throughout the construction zone. Road and bridge
construction is expected to resume in March 2019 or earlier if
favorable weather permits.

FIELDS ERTEL ROAD
West Chester Township / City of Sharonville line
Closed between U.S.
42 and Copperfield Drive for a roadway improvement effective
July 16, 2018. Project completion will be in 2019. Construction
will be suspended for the winter and resume in the spring.

Closed for additional
sewer main work effective January 8, 2019. Installation of a
new sewer main by the Butler County Water & Sewer Department
requires closure of Headgates Road through mid-March 2019. During
this closure the road will be closed to thru traffic from Ohio
4 to Canal Road; however, access will be maintained for local
residents, school buses, and postal deliveries.
Detour for thru traffic: Northbound Headgates Road will
detour southwest on Ohio 4, north on Campbell Drive, and northeast
on Canal Road to Headgates. Southbound traffic will reverse this
Fairfield and Liberty Townships
Open between Jayfield
Drive and Liberty Fairfield Road effective November 8, 2018.
This completes Phase 1 of the Princeton Road improvement with
the exception of the final surface course of asphalt, which will
be applied toward the overall project completion in mid-2019.
Phase 2 of the project, from Liberty Fairfield Road to Ohio 747,
originally scheduled to begin in late September, has been rescheduled
for construction this spring. Princeton Road will remain fully
open through the winter months. There may be some off road utility
work during the winter; however, this is not expected to impact
- Phase 1 - Jayfield Drive to Liberty Fairfield
Road. Closed: August 6, 2018. Opened: November 8, 2018.
- Phase 2 - Liberty Fairfield Road to Ohio
747. Revised start date: spring 2019. Revised completion date:
Phase 2 detour - Eastbound Princeton Road traffic will
detour south on Bypass 4, east on Ohio 129, and north on Ohio
747 to Princeton. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
During these phases
Princeton Road will be closed to thru and commuter traffic; however,
local access will be maintained for residents of Princeton Road
within the construction zone as well as for side streets. Residents
of adjoining subdivisions however are advised to utilize alternate
access into and out their subdivisions in order to minimize as
much as possible the amount of traffic within the Princeton Road
project area on map.
